Darn'd hiccups.

Anywho, I'm rather stoked for the upcoming Thanksgiving break! I WANNA GO HOME! I just want to be home for the few days I get off and enjoy company with what remains of my unmarried & uncollege-graduate family. xD Won't see my parents for a few days though since they'll be away, but I will get to see them before I go back to school for a few more weeks and then stressing like heck over finals.

In other news, after seeing what most of my other dA buddies are doing for this, I figured I'd join in. Hopefully I can think up 10 things. I've not asked for much for Christmas for the past few years. ouo;;

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1) I'd like more art of my OCs by others. Or just art that I somehow inspired. ouo

2) I would LOVE to get mail! Instant messaging is great, but there's just something about getting a letter and reading the written word that makes me all happy.

3) A professional camera. Ya know, the kind with the incredible shutter length and great image quality. I know that's going to be really expensive, but that's something I hope to get at some point.

4) I would be oh so incredibly happy to meet some of my fellow deviants. >u< Like, say, some of the other members of TNO

5) I'd want to have the courage/initiative to really try new things with my art. Like realism, or just different cartoony styles. I want to expand my artistic ability.

6) I want more time management skills so I can take time to write and read more. I have too many books I want/need to read that are piling up. I want to immerse myself into the world of fantasy more often.

7) An actual "white Christmas," since it almost never snows down at home. The weather gets cold and there can be frost, but there's rarely ever a year with snow. >:

8) COPIC COLORED PENCILS! Oh man, I want to try coloring with those SO BAD! ;n; I'm too poor for them though.

9) I want more recipes! Anything and everything I want to see if I can make it! I LIKE COOKING! OUO Got any holiday recipes, or just something to cook up everyday, or maybe something on the fly? I'd love to get a collection of them so that I can try them all out.

10) I'd also want a larger Christmas music list. I have songs from two different artists that I grew up listening to, but I'd love to find more Christmas music. Specifically the softer, gentler tunes of music (I'm not into hearing carols done on electric guitar, sorry. I'm more into hearing it on strings or piano)

But yeah...that's my list. I know some of them really aren't wishes that can be fulfilled by others, but at least you guys know now what it is I wish for this year. Besides, I did tell you guys that I have a hard time thinking up what I'd want with physical gifts since I think myself content with what I have.
